News

Peter Lerangis

It was thought for a time that the titles of Books 4, 5, and 6 of Cahills vs. Vespers were called "The Pirate's Treasure", "Recovering Confidence", and "The Mastermind Revealed", respectively. However, Peter Lerangis confirmed here that these titles are disinformation. He discusses it here with a fan who asked:

The Fan: "Mr. Peter Lerangis? I LOVE your books. Just one question: Are the title of the 4th, 5th, and 6th books "The Pirate's Treasure", "Recovering Confidence", and "The Mastermind Revealed"? I saw this on Wikipedia."

(Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 07:03:13 PM)

Peter: "Hello. Many thanks, I’m delighted you enjoyed the books. No, those titles are fake. Someone is just having a bit of fun, I think. (I believe that "info" has been deleted from Wikipedia.) We never know the titles of books that far in advance. Generally they are chosen after the book is written, not before. In fact, the titles for Books 5 and 6 have not yet been determined at all. (But trust me, they will be way better than the ones mentioned above!)"

But on February 5, Peter Lerangis confirmed the real title of the fourth book in the series. The fan's question and Lerangis' answer are as follows:

The Fan: Oh...I thought Shatterproof is just a hoax. You mean that's the real title?

Peter: Yes.

Linda Sue Park

On July 12, 2012, Linda Sue Park posted on the Message Board that the title of Book 5 is Trust No One. She also posted the cover.

David Baldacci
