Like the Cahills, the Vespers have secret strongholds all over the world, including one underneath the graveyard in Ireland. It makes sense for secutiry purposes, but we suspect that the Vespers had other reasons for choosing such a grim location. If you're looking to intimidate (or terrify) low ranking members of your organization, a dark labyrinth surrounded by dead bodies is the place to do it. You can say a lot about the Vespers, but you can't argue that they don't have style. It's just a little twisted.
