Hillary Vale is one of the numerous secondary-characters in the 39 Clues. Hillary was Theo Cotter's helper when it came time to steal the Sakhet from Amy, Dan, and Nellie.

Personality and Physical Appearance

Hillary is described as "A tiny, white-haired woman wearing a loose embroidered tunic and pants." Hillary was Grace Cahill's best friend before she died. She secretly became angry and jealous of Grace's fortune, and often wondered why Grace had never gave some of that fortune to her. Hillary is the grandmother of Theo Cotter, and is very supportive of his Egyptologist career. She is very fond of calling Amy and Dan Cahill "ducklings" and other drivers on the road "muppets".

Beyond The GraveEdit
She appears only in Beyond the Grave. She was Grace Cahill's best friend and Grace would visit her whenever she would come to Egypt. She is also the mother of Theo Cotter. Hillary helped Theo steal the Sakhet from Amy, Dan, and Nellie. She and her grandson were almost put into jail if it weren't for their cooperation with the trio.
